Before anyone else loves you well or poorly, you are already, deeply loved. That part was never in question.
“God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
When you're searching for love
Before anyone else loves you well or poorly, you are already loved. These verses say how much.
Before anyone else loves you well or poorly, you are already, deeply loved. That part was never in question.
“God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The world - which includes you.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Nothing on this list can separate you. Nothing off it either.
“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Everlasting means it didn't start when you got it right.
“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Sung over - that's how you're loved.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Loved before you were good enough.
God, help me believe that you really love me - not the version of me I try to be, but the real me. Let your love fill the places where I feel unwanted, and teach me to love others from that fullness. Amen.
