Take a slow breath. Whatever is spinning through your mind right now, you don't have to hold it alone - you're allowed to hand it over.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

-
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Not some of your cares - all of them. Including the ones that feel too small to mention or too big to say out loud.
-
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
This peace isn't waiting for your circumstances to calm down first. It's offered right in the middle of them.
-
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
When your thoughts race in every direction, this is an invitation to rest them in one place.
-
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
You only have to carry today. Tomorrow's weight isn't yours to lift yet.
-
“In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”
Even the psalm-writers knew what a crowded, anxious mind feels like - and that comfort can reach right into it.
-
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Trust doesn't mean the fear is gone. It means you're not facing it alone.
A short prayer for an anxious heart
Lord, my mind is loud right now and my heart won't settle. I'm handing you what I can't hold - the what-ifs, the worst cases, the things I can't control. Give me your peace that doesn't depend on how today goes. Help me take just the next small step. Amen.
If this feels like more than you can carry, please don't carry it alone. Talk to someone you trust, a pastor, or a doctor. In the US you can call or text 988 any time to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
