You're allowed to leave some things in the past - genuinely, not just in theory. Today can actually be a new page.
“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
When you want a fresh start
For the moment you decide things are going to be different. Today can actually be a new page.
You're allowed to leave some things in the past - genuinely, not just in theory. Today can actually be a new page.
“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”
Something new is already starting to grow.
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Every morning, mercy starts over.
“Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark.”
Reaching forward, not looking back.
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.”
Change can go all the way to the heart.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”
All things - including this.
God, I want a fresh start. Help me let go of what's behind me and step into what's ahead. Make me new where I need it most, and walk with me into this next chapter. Amen.
